My Neighbour Totoro 3D Recreation

After a month long break from YouTube and making 3D artworks as a whole, I decided to spice things up with the new one. So I made this, a recreation of one of the scenes from a Studio Ghibli movie, 'My Neighbour Totoro'. It took me around 3 weeks to make this from start to finish and this has to be the most difficult piece I've made so far, as I've previously lacked the experience of making characters. I made Totoro here from scratch, but used a base mesh for Satsuki. I didn't model Mei, as she was barely visible and didn't need to look too good. I still think the result came out better than what I expected, and I'm pretty proud of it.

Watch the breakdown video for more information on how I made it, where I go over my thought process, workflows and share useful things I learned during the process.
